James Heal are exhibiting around the world this year. International Sales Manager Simon Dakin recently travelled to Vietnam and Indonesia, exhibiting at the Vietnam Saigon Garment & Accessories Machinery Expo and Indo Intertex 2012.
Firstly, James Heal attended the Vietnam Saigon Garment & Accessories Machinery Expo with our exclusive Vietnamese agents Thach Anh Vang Co. Ltd.
Following a successful exhibition in 2011, this year's Vietnam Saigon Garment & Accessories Machinery Expo was held between 11th and 14th April in Ho Chi Minh City and successfully drew visitors from all over the world.
Exhibiting for the third year running, James Heal was one of 285 exhibitors from more than 20 countries, with representation at the event from across the industry.
James Heal exhibited with Thach Anh Vang Co. Ltd., who also represent other leaders in the textile industry including Textest AG (Switzerland) and Copower Technology (Taiwan), and had an impressive stand at the event.
The stand was busy and we were visited by a variety of old and new customers, including a number of test houses. We were also pleased to welcome guests from VINATEX (Vietnam National Textile and Garment Group) to our stand, who were interested to know more about our range of precision instruments and Test Materials.

We displayed our new tensile tester Titan4 with TestWise software, which generated a lot of interest, and the Martindale 909 from our new Martindale abrasion and pilling tester range. We also had a display to highlight our expertise in the manufacture and supply of test materials, including multifibre, crocking cloth, detergents, SM25 abrasive and yellowing kits.
International Sales Manager Simon Dakin represented James Heal at the exhibition, and was impressed with the event:
'James Heal are pleased to have exhibited for the third time at the Vietnam Saigon Garment & Accessories Machinery Expo.We found the expo to be extremely well organised, with good numbers of visitors. The Vietnamese market is very important to James Heal and we look forward to next year's event.'
Simon then travelled on to Indonesia. He held a pre-exhibition seminar in Bandung for laboratory managers who were unable to travel to Indo Intertex in Jakarta. The seminar was extremely well received and guests were impressed with the full service our three divisions offer - Testing Instruments, Test Materials and Service and Calibration.
Once in Jakarta, James Heal exhibited in conjunction with our exclusive agents in Indonesia, Multi Rajut. Our stand looked impressive and drew a great deal of interest.

Although held at the same time as the large Turkish exhibition ITM in Istanbul, every day at Indo Intertex was busy, and we saw a great deal of interest in our products. Particular interest was shown in our Martindale 900 series abrasion and pilling testers, which come with nine, five or two stations and have a comprehensive range of sample holding options. Our brand new universal strength tester Titan4 also made a big impact with visitors, who were impressed with its tool-free, interchangeable specimen grips, cartridge load cells and dedicated TestWise software, which comes in seven different languages and is pre-loaded with an extensive library of national and international test Standards.
We also displayed our high quality Test Materials, which are available in pre-prepared or standard formats, and come with Certificates of Conformity which customers are able to receive, download and store online with our new system.
James Heal's International Sales Manager Simon Dakin was happy to be exhibiting at the event and says;
'The economy in Indonesia has taken an up-turn in recent times, and this has been reflected in increased interest in the textile industry. Indonesia is an important market to James Heal, and we were pleased to welcome a steady stream of visitors to our stand, with both new and existing customers keen to invest in quality control and testing equipment of the highest standards.'
