06 January 2015
Held at the Salt Palace in Salt Lake City, this event brings together the world’s leading winter and outdoor retailers, and is described as ‘Attracting thousands of buyers, top winter and summer sports manufacturers and the newest innovative outdoor gear’.
From 21st to 24th January, our Business Development Manager, Lisa Earnshaw, will be teaming up with ATI - Advanced Testing Instrument, our exclusive sales and service representative in North America, to promote our range of textile testing instruments designed to ensure winter sports gear performs to the high expectations demanded by the end customer.
The James Heal stand at ORWM 2015 will emphasize to manufacturers the criticality of using the highest quality of precision testing instruments to ensure their outdoor clothing and equipment live up to exacting standards, in terms of design and performance, when subjected to the extreme environments to which these garments are exposed.
All those planning to attend Outdoor Retailer Winter Market should stop by stand 255-218 to see what we can offer the Outdoor Sportswear market. We will be demonstrating key instruments and Lisa will be available to discuss how our extraordinary testing solutions can benefit the outdoor sportswear industry.
Instruments on show at this exhibition will be:
Martindale 1309 - our abrasion and pilling tester which can be used to test abrasion and pilling levels on cycling trousers, walking socks, knitted hats, scarves and gloves, baselayers, collars on sportswear, cords and straps on walking equipment as well as many other fabrics and leather products.
Elmatear – an extremely versatile digital tear tester, originally designed for testing textiles and can be used to test the strength of a wide array of textile products, including tents and parachutes, as well as other fabric and non-woven products.
TruBurst – a pneumatic bursting strength and fatigue tester is used to measure the burst strength of the elbows and knees of cycling gear and skiwear, and the stretch and recovery of Lycra items such as swimming costumes and gymwear. It can also be used on medical products such as blister packs and mosquito nets, and other textiles, nonwovens and plastics.
