James Heal Invests in Commercial Talent

We’ve welcomed six new faces to the James Heal Commercial Team in the past few weeks, adding value to our existing team, with the aim of focusing on continuous improvements in our Product and Service offering, our marketing communications, and ultimately, our customers’ experience with James Heal. The new James Heal team members bring with them a wealth of experience and knowledge, which will be put to use in developing the commercial department for the benefit of all our customers and stakeholders.

Rachael Simpson – Head of Marketing

A Chartered Marketer with qualifications in Strategic Marketing, Product Management and Digital Marketing, Rachael has worked at James Heal previously, overseeing the successful rebrand in 2010/2011. She brings 11 years of marketing experience working mainly in companies who manufacture scientific or technical products, within sectors such as Textiles, Chemicals, Food and Personal Care. Rachael joins the team to coach and lead the Marketing and Product Management team; with the aim of contributing to the overall performance and profitability of the business, by developing the marketing and product strategy, supporting our agents and distributors with their marketing, and finding new ways to support customers - such as providing informative content and resources from the James Heal website.

“It is fantastic to be back at the company at such an exciting time of growth and development. A great deal has changed since I worked here before, and I am looking forward to working in the Textiles industry again,” expressed Rachael.

Jason Padgett – Customer Service & Support Team Leader

Jason joins us from the banking sector, with 20 years’ experience working in large companies such as Royal Bank of Scotland and Barclays. In his role as Operations Manager, he was responsible for delivering consistently high standards of customer service across all customer propositions, and created and launched a continuous improvement initiative that became a UK wide Barclays Strategy.

Jason has joined James Heal to empower, encourage and enable the Service and Support Team to fulfil the James Heal brand promise by delivering a first class customer experience, by using the collective knowledge of our colleagues, sales partners and customers worldwide.

Jason has already started to strengthen his Service and Support Team with new starters who have a proven track record of customer focus.

Jenna Hooson Maguire - Customer Sales & Support Coordinator

Jenna has an established background in customer service; with experience running her own company within the recycled plastic industry for the last five years, where she focused on building relationships with architects, contractors and local authorities. Jenna joins us at James Heal as a Customer Sales and Support Coordinator which brings all her years of customer service experience to the forefront of her role and enables her to build relationships with our customers, colleagues and agents around the world.

We have phenomenal products, talented people in the business, and experienced agents across the world - with an incredibly strong reputation to uphold. As Customer Sales and Support Coordinator it is my job to represent James Heal to the highest standard - with the customer as the main focus.”

Wendy Senior  - Customer Sales & Support Coordinator

Wendy has worked in the Textile Industry for the last 26 years, with experience as a Laboratory Technician, Quality Manager, and more recently, as Sales and Quality Manager.  “Due to Wendy’s experience with customer relations and problem solving, we feel Wendy will be a great asset to the Customer Sales and Support Team and help to ensure that we become our customers preferred supplier,” explains Jason.

Wendy says of her new role: “I am extremely excited to have joined James Heal, the company has so much potential with its successful growth and development, and I look forward to speaking to our sales partners and customers over the coming months.”

Alan Thomson – Product Manager

Alan has 29 years’ experience working with Electronic companies in Telecoms, ATMs and Lighting, and 23 years of this was spent as a Global Product Manager in large multi-nationals and SMEs. During this time, Alan was responsible for the launch of 3 new through the wall and outdoor ATM machines, which together generated a turnover of around £350 million per annum.

Alan has joined James Heal as Product Manager, reporting to Rachael Simpson, working closely with Lisa Earnshaw and other key stakeholders to manage our portfolio of instruments, test materials and services. “Alan’s strong background in product management, combined with his analytical and commercial mind set, will be an asset to the company and we’re delighted to have him on board,” emphasised Rachael.

Anthony Woollacott – Technologist

Having worked most recently as a Senior Technologist at Next, covering product ranges such as Christmas, Bathroom and Furniture, Anthony Woollacott joins James Heal as a product technologist. His previous experience includes turf research, Global Key Account management for a worldwide laboratory and Technical Manager at a leading supermarket responsible for reviewing manufacturing processes and setting quality standards for products.

In this newly created role, Anthony will be utilising his technical expertise to work closely with global Retailers, OEMs and Brands; understanding their needs and challenges, conducting market research, and investigating how James Heal can continue to improve our product offering.
