In celebration of our 140th year in the textile testing industry, James Heal are launching a competition this week to win a brand new Martindale 905 abrasion and pilling tester.
We're looking to find the oldest working James Heal Martindale Wear and Abrasion Tester in the world.
Our high quality testing instruments were built to last, and we often hear stories from our global service and calibration engineers of machines that are several decades old and still fully working. So we've set a 140th anniversary challenge - we want to find the oldest!
We are challenging textile technicians everywhere to help with the search - if you are still using an old 103 model like the one below, then you could win a brand new 905 Midi-Martindale.
Built to be as long lasting as the first 100 series, our stylish precision engineered Martindale 900 Series also offers a range of modern, innovative and user friendly features, including easy access to every single station from the front of the machine, the ability to easily change between abrasion, pilling and straight line motions, and a versatile and intuitive interface.
To enter, please submit a two minute video showing the instrument carrying out a test.
