Air permeability is an important performance feature to evaluate in apparel and technical textile fabrics, including nonwoven fabrics.
A textile's air permeability is a measurement of how well it enables air to move through its structure, which provides valuable information on the performance capabilities for textiles and fabrics in products such as industrial filters, tents, sailcloths, parachutes, raincoat materials, sportswear, downproof fabrics and airbags.
This webinar will look at air permeability and why it is so important in certain sectors such as the military and medical sectors, the importance of testing, and how to test in a way that is repeatable and accurate. We will be focusing on two standards:
